We’re ambitious, busy and overbooked…

And we all need time to relax. But who can figure out how to unwind?

It’s typical for our day to be a to-do list, and it demands a lot from us. If we don’t take the time…  oh, and for goodness sake, calm down… this stress surely could be unbearable.

So pay attention to the connection between mind and body.

This awareness will tell you when it’s time to take a break.

The key lies in learning what techniques work best for each of us. Use those techniques against the intensity you feel from stressful situations.

  • Indulge in Aromatherapy – Buy a host of pleasant scents. If you’re on a budget, a piece of lemon peel in boiling water will do the trick.

  • Eat – Sometimes a nutrition break can help. And a drink of cool water or warm herbal tea has always been central to finding calm.

  • Exercise – Lose yourself in an exhilarating workout; it’s proven to push endorphins into your system.

  • Focus On Your Breath – It’s easy to do and the thing we forget to do most often.

  • Find Warm Water – Pamper yourself. Relieve sore muscles and a harried mind.

  • Laugh – Yes, laugh… and don’t go back to the same places for it. Continue to push forward and find joy in life.

  • Listen To Music –Whatever you like best is right for you.

  • Put your hands on something – Acknowledge the creative in you. Find a way to shape your environment, physically, emotionally, socially and economically.

  • Massage – Please. What’s better than this?

  • Meditate – This is practice for the mindfulness you can use every day.

  • Practice Yoga – It works well in combination with meditation. Thousands of years of refinement helps you understand how your body is supposed to move.

  • Combinations – Breathe deeply while taking a bath, knit while you listen to soft music, go on a walk with a friend or eat a sandwich while you giggle.

No matter how busy you are, you deserve to set aside time each day to relieve stress. Discovering what works best for you can be part of the fun.
